The short version
This site does not run analytics, advertising or third-party tracking. It does not place marketing cookies. It stores two small preferences (your chosen theme and language) in your own browser, and nothing more.
Who runs this site
This site is published by Angus Robertson. For privacy queries, contact contact@angusrobertson.scot.
What is collected when you visit
Nothing on the page itself. The site has no forms, no analytics, no advertising scripts, no tracking pixels.
Local browser storage. When you change theme (light/dark) or language (English/Deutsch/Français), the choice is saved in your browser's localStorage so it persists next time you visit. This data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere. You can clear it from your browser settings at any time.
Server logs. The web host may keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for a short period for security and reliability. These are not used for tracking.
Third-party services this site uses
- Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Your browser's IP address is sent to Google when fonts are fetched. See Google's privacy policy.
- YouTube — the Media section shows YouTube thumbnail images. Thumbnails are loaded from i.ytimg.com. Clicking through opens YouTube, which sets its own cookies. See Google's privacy policy.
- External links — links to Twitter/X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Instagram, news outlets, and booksellers will take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
If you email contact@angusrobertson.scot, your message is delivered through standard email infrastructure and read by Angus Robertson (or designated staff). Messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up.
